SYMPTOM:

Lenovo has released a new system BIOS update to address an issue with the Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset (as reported in the Intel 965 Express Chipset Specification update).

Lenovo is providing this BIOS update to eliminate a potential source of unexpected system behavior.

This is a CRITICAL UPDATE.  Lenovo highly recommends users to apply this BIOS update if your system is listed below.

AFFECTED CONFIGURATIONS:

The above symptom may occur on the following systems:

Lenovo 3000 Y310
Lenovo 3000 Y410
IdeaPad Y510
IdeaPad Y710

SOLUTION:

Download and install the BIOS update that applies to your system, as listed on section “AFFECTED CONFIGURATIONS”, above.
